Get ready for a spook-tacular evening of hands-on fun, playful surprises and Halloween adventures throughout the museum! Boo Bash invites children and families to explore, create and celebrate the season with themed activities and trick-or-treat treats around every corner.

Creepy Crawly Animal Encounter

Get into the Halloween spirit with a spine-tingling encounter featuring creepy crawly creatures and fascinating critters from Rainforest Reptiles Show!

Trick-or-Treat Throughout the Museum

Grab your bag and set off on a Halloween adventure! Visit special stations throughout the museum to collect festive treats and surprises along the way.

Boo Bash Carnival Games

Head to the Assembly Space for our Boo Bash Carnival! Test your skills with a lineup of Halloween-themed games, including:

  • Spooky Book Nook
  • Pumpkin Tic-Tac-Toe
  • Spider Cornhole

Create, Explore & Celebrate

Put your creativity to work at the Maker Studio with a bone-themed activity, explore the colorful world of Light & Color in the iLab, and discover a Teeny Tiny Pumpkin Patch in Little Woods.

Weather permitting, head outside to the Garden for a magical Witch’s Bubble Bubble Party filled with bubbly Halloween fun!

 

FAQ for Boo Bash

How do I buy tickets?

You can either purchase tickets online, or you can purchase tickets in-person at the Front Desk.

Are the tickets just for the party, or do they get us into the museum all day?

Tickets are for Boo Bash only, with entry beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Does my membership get me in to the event for free?
No. This event is a special after-hours event, and members are required to purchase event tickets for entry. There are no member discounts on tickets. 
Is this event going to be scary?

Only you can determine your kiddo’s level of comfort. There will be some Halloween-themed elements, including ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, and spiders, but all of our decorations will be playful and chosen with our youngest visitors in mind. 

Can we dress up?
Of course! We’re so excited to see your costumes! To help make the event fun and comfortable for everyone, please choose costumes that are family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Masks for adults and weapons (real or fake) will not be allowed. 
Is this event for all ages?
This event is intended for children and their families. If you are an adult, you’re in luck! Our annual after-hours adult event, Play On, is the Friday before Boo Bash. We will not admit unaccompanied adults to Boo Bash.
